Introducing the TREK 2022 Rail 5 500 W Gen 2, an exceptional e-Mountain bike designed for the fearless riders. It incorporates top-tier trail technology, like our renowned analogue trail bikes, paired with the dynamic power of the new Bosch drive system. Think of it as having your personal mountain shuttle, making your trail exploration experiences unforgettable.

Perfect for You...

If you're keen on an advanced e-MTB that’s as trail-ready as traditional mountain bikes, while delivering a high-power ride up slopes for round after round of fun, this is your match made in off-road heaven.

Outstanding Features

Durable alloy frame with 150 mm of rear travel that securely encases the 500 Wh battery. A top-notch, e-MTB optimised 160 mm RockShox 35 Gold RL fork for increased control and smoother rides. This power-packed off-roader boasts a new, formidable Bosch Performance Line CX 250 W motor that aids speed up to 20 mph (25 km/h in Europe), managed by a Purion controller. Also, with a 1x12 drive train offering a broad gear range, you'll always have the ideal cadence for the motor, a dropper post, superior 4-piston brakes for downhill confidence and 29er Bontrager wheels with agile yet gripping 2.6" tyres.

Why It's a Great Choice

Rail 5 is our most cost-effective, long-travel e-MTB. Mirroring the capability of our traditional long-travel trail bikes, it ensures thesame on-track thrill but with the advantage of quickly taking you back to the top for another go. With its resilient Bosch drive system and durable specifications, you're guaranteed a fantastic riding experience.

Reasons to Love It

  • Rail delivers just as much adrenaline-rush as its non-electric peers, getting you back up the mountain in pace for another exciting ride.
  • With its efficient Purion controller, boasting a helpful Walk Assist feature and an eMTB mode that adaptively provides the precise power level based on your terrain, hassle-free riding is assured.
  • Built with distinctive frame technology similar to Remedy and Slash, like Mino Link adjustable geometry and a Straight Shot down tube for additional rigidity and an Active Braking Pivot (ABP).
  • The dropper post allows for easy saddle lowering on descents, guaranteeing unhindered riding action.
  • Its Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system is not only eye-catching but also highly practical: it protects the battery fully inside the frame, allows tool-free battery removal, and provides space for a water bottle cage.
